BY-LAWS OF ASPHALT BURNERS
PURPOSE:
Asphalt Burners is an independent organization not affiliated with any organization. The goal of the club is to promote the joy of riding motorcycles, and to raise money for local charities
MEMBERSHIP:
(1) The Asphalt Burners is a family oriented Motorcycle Club. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Group Riding.
(2) The club does require some attendance to meeting or rides, however a lack of participation in a 90 day period may lead to revocation of membership at the discretion of the rest of the Club.
(3) Anyone wanting to join must be at least 18 years of age. Attend at least (2) two Meetings and at least (1) one ride, to be considered for membership and have a motorcycle at least 500cc or bigger. No Sport Bikes. Must have Motor Cycle License.
(4) Any exmember wanting to rejoin the club will have to have 100 percent membership vote if you are reinstated back into the club you are required to pay an additional $25 and $50 yearly dues
PROBATION: If you should quit the club for any reason and you are voted back in you will be on probation for a minimum of six (6) months, or decided on by the Club Officers. B: Also, if you are placed on probation you will not be allowed to vote at any club meeting.C: While on probation if for any reason you are asked to leave 2 times at any club function or event, you are out of the club for good.
DUES:
An annual dues of $50.00 for Full Member. A $25.00 annual dues for Spouse, significant other or support member. Dues will be used to cover the cost of meetings, runs or other promotions. Dues will be paid by January 31, of each year.
MEETINGS:
Meeting will be held monthly and will be conducted by the Club President or designated officer. President or designated person will inform members who could not make it to the meeting what was discussed.
SAFETY:
Each member is 100% responsibility for:A. Making sure that they can maneuver safely in the riding environment B. Know their own limitationsC. Any Officer may dismiss anyone participating in a Asphalt Burners ride if they are endangering the safety of others.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
A. Officers and members are responsible for maintaining the public image of the Club. No Officer or member should make any statement or commit any act that ridicules or otherwise portrays the Club in a negative or unfavorable manner B. All members agree to accept that any and all Club business remains between Club Members only
RIDES:
The standard formation will be double row staggered. The Road Captain will be the head of the group. New members, guest and any riders with little group riding experience will be positioned toward the front of the group.
ALL MEMBERS AND ASSOCIATED MEMBERS, SPOUSE, SIGNIFICANT OTHER OR SUPPORT MEMBER, MUST WEAR CLUB SHIRT!
OFFICERS:
President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasure will be voted on every year. VOTING: An absentee ballot will be available for members who can not attend however, you must be a member in good standings.
These By-Laws may be amended by a majority vote.
